Are you passionate about cycling history, culture and community? The Cycling Museum of Minnesota is seeking applicants to our Board of Directors. CMM is a museum-in-development located in Minneapolis with a mission to celebrate how cycling has shaped our culture and communities and provides us with tools to transform the future. Our vision is that through our work, our community will better understand the foundational and central role of cycling and cyclists in our past, present, and future development.
CMM is a start-up effort that is in the process of planning exhibits, developing a collection, seeking partners and supporters, and establishing a sustainable business model. Board members will have the opportunity to work with a committed, ambitious volunteer team in a community excited about our project's potential.
We are seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
The Cycling Museum of Minnesota will strive to have a Board of Directors that represents the full diversity of Minnesota and the cycling community.
Board members will commit to the following:
One monthly meeting of the full Board (typically on a Monday or Wednesday evening);
At least one additional monthly subcommittee meeting (collections and exhibits, fundraising, communications, or finance); and,
Between 10-15 hours monthly of service outside meetings.

Applications will be reviewed with the goal of presenting a slate of nominees for a vote at the meeting of the full Board in July.
